Roseworthy's mission

Our mission is to destigmatize  the taboo topic of mental health to show the self worth of ourselves and others. We want everyone to feel worthy in their daily struggles. Combatting the unfriendly culture around mental health is hard. And like anyone's personal mental health journey all it takes is one step. So thanks for showing up, taking that step, or just getting ready for the journey ahead! Together we can show and support others that are in their own silent struggles.

What's the story here?

Roseworthy has been an idea that has stayed with Rose Cross since the beginning of her mental health journey. During Rose’s teen years, she was diagnosed with a mental illness. Throughout her years of self-work she has accumulated many coping skills, affirmations, and even decoded pseudo-psychology terminology.

In the 2010s, Rose searched for find a community that also struggled with mental health problems. She found that the society she was living in still had a very negative stigma associated with mental illness. Not being able to talk about what she was going through without fear of being labeled as crazy or weird from peers, felt very isolating. Being in Boston, Rose had the privilege of being able to get help at Mass General Hospital and McLean Hospital. By being invited to tell her story to medical students interested in Adolescent psychology, her confidence grew. She eagerly wished that being identified with a mental illness was just like when you passed a friend in the hallway with a nod.

Rose believes fervently that everyone struggles with mental illness at some point in their lives, diagnosed or not. She wants to create a community and society where mental illness, daily struggles, and feelings can be shared and not stigmatized. She found that throughout her journey, many people didn’t know how to put words to emotions, their experience, or what was going on. She hopes that by giving a voice to mental health issues will allow for conversations to be easier to talk about. It might create a new friendship or just tell others that you are trying. Most importantly she hopes that Roseworthy provides proof and strength in those that wear and share the brand that their emotions, feelings, thoughts, are worthy.
